About me

Hey, I’m Gil. He/Him. 23 Years Old.
I’m mostly a hobbyist video editor. Specializing in AMVs (Anime Music Videos) and video essays about media. I also write about anime and currently am in the process of being published in an anthology about isekai fiction.

My AMVs are often called "post-AMVs" even if that term is a bit nebulous. They’re often experimental to some degree and usually have theming. I will be completely honest, I don’t view my AMVs as intelligent art or anything, but if you’re kind enough to think they’re worth interpreting than please do so.

I also make video essays on what I feel like are either anime or topics that aren't discussed enough. I’ve talked about queer representation in anime, depictions of ‘otaku masculinity’ and a discussion on Isekai and what the genre represents.

I try to link the sources to all of the media I use. If you have issue with me using anything you've made, please let me know. I like to think my videos are transformative. But I'm only human. I try not to put any harsh (especially black and white) strobes in my videos. But I will say if you have a severe photosensitivity condition, be careful.

I use Adobe Premiere Pro, Photoshop, After Effects and Audition. But mostly Premiere Pro.
